On the second day, from the cross to the grave, He went to Hades to get the gates of death and Hell. (Rev. 1:18 inferred) Jesus has all authority and power to transform a life. We have been transformed from death to life, it is NOT for our own selfish singular life.
Paul considered himself a bond-slave of Christ. He went from persecuting Christians to winning the Jews to The Lord. If we have been transformed by the gospel of Christ, how are we any different than Paul?
I feel compelled to share and to help others. Actually, it is my saving grace. I strongly believe that if I was keeping my past to homosexuality a private matter, that I would be a mess! It is my very public role that calls me to love a examined life, dedicated and on fire for Christ and sharing His redeeming story.
My prayer for you this Easter weekend is that you come OUT from the shadows. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. (Eph 1:18)” The life on the outside is fearful but glorious. We no longer need to fear man, but God alone. The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 118:6 NIV) On this Easter, rise from the dead, in the power of Christ, out from the fear of man and come out of the shadows. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Rom 8:11
